Which operating systems does Cryptopower support?+

Cryptopower runs on Windows 10 and later (x64), macOS 11 and later (Apple Silicon and Intel), and most modern Linux distributions via .AppImage or .deb. Mobile builds are available for Android and iOS.

How do I verify a release before installing?+

Every release ships with a detached PGP signature (.asc) and a SHA-256 checksum. Download both, verify the checksum, then verify the signature against the maintainers' PGP key published on the website and in the GitHub releases page. If either check fails, do not install the binary.

Does Cryptopower require an account or KYC?+

No. Cryptopower is a self-custody wallet that runs entirely on your device. There is no sign-up, no KYC and no server-side account. Your wallet is defined solely by the seed phrase you generate on first launch.

Where are my wallet files stored?+

Windows: %APPDATA%\Cryptopower. macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Cryptopower. Linux: ~/.config/cryptopower. These directories hold your encrypted wallet database. Back them up in addition to — not instead of — your recovery seed.
